On July 7th, 2021, an institutional meeting was held at our Milan headquarters with the Consul General of the Republic of Tunisia, Mr. Adel Ben Abdallah, the Vice President of the Lombardy Regional Council Dr. Carlo Borghetti, the Secretary General of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in the UAE Dr. Mauro Marzocchi, the General Delegate of Cepex Mr. Riadh Ben Salah, the Deputy Director of FIPA Milan Mr. Bilel Dardouri, the Managing Director of Frontis SpA Dr. Massimiliano Bertolino, they were all welcomed by our President Dr. Francesca Brigandì.

During the meeting, a number of topics were discussed, but the focus was on Expo Dubai 2020, which will take place in the United Arab Emirates from October 1st, 2021, to March 31st, 2022.

The participants, aware of the strategic importance of the Dubai expo as the largest post-pandemic trade event, decided to coordinate in order to participate both individually and jointly through initiatives dedicated to the UAE event.

It was therefore decided to organise, in September 2021, an event at the Lombardy Region with the aim of highlighting and making known to the Italian and Tunisian entrepreneurial network the opportunities offered by the Expo scene and illustrating the strategic/operational lines to be implemented.

Comedit is pleased to inform its Members that EXPO DUBAI 2020, the first universal exhibition to be held in an Arab country, will take place from October 1st, 2021 to March 31st, 2022.

Due to the health emergency which has not yet been completely overcome, Expo Dubai 2020 which, because of the aforementioned pandemic, could not be held last year, will be presented as a "hybrid" model, offering both in-person events and virtual events.

This Exposition, which will last six months, will be the largest commercial event since the beginning of the health emergency and is a very important opportunity to relaunch the Italian and world economies.

Expo Dubai 2020 will focus mainly on three topics:

  • Opportunities: understood as unlocking the potential of individuals and communities to create a better future
  • Mobility: understood as the development of innovative systems of logistics, transport and communication between people, goods, and ideas
  • Sustainability: understood as accessibility and resilience of environmental, energy and water resources

Comedit will play an active role at 360° within this event through collaborations and partnerships with national and international institutions with the specific aim of continuing - starting from where we were forced to stop with the firm belief that tomorrow is already today.
